To provide the highest level of service possible to Bloomingfoods internal and external customers and to efficiently and effectively perform the daily duties of receiving, stocking, selling, replenishing, cashiering, and otherwise serving customers in a retail environment.

• Customer Service – Provide excellent service to internal and external customers, treat people fairly, educate non‑member customers about the co‑op model.
• Receiving, Processing, and Stocking – Inspect deliveries, unload, stock displays, cull short‑date items, maintain clean storage, ensure accurate price labeling.
• Front‑End Services – Provide a friendly checkout experience, use correct codes for sales receipts, handle bagging, assist with carry‑out.
• Location Duties – Ensure carts/baskets availability, perform cleaning and maintenance duties, monitor cooler/freezer temperatures, perform opening and closing procedures, maintain restroom cleanliness, participate in store inventories.
• Communication – Attend staff meetings, provide effective communication within the team, maintain open communication with customers, stay informed of co‑op news.

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, reach, bend, and climb.
• Willingness to work in coolers and freezers and outside in the elements.
• Regular, predictable attendance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to efficiency, detail, and accuracy.
• Familiarity with Windows 7 operating system.

USD $11.55 – $13.30 per hour (Bloomington)
