Job Overview

Mobile Associates, Store-in-Store are an integral part of the Retail Team responsible for bringing the T-Mobile brand to life within National Sales partner locations, where active customer engagement is crucial for success. They’re ambassadors who create energy and excitement around our products and services. They thrive in a high-traffic environment where technology innovations and customer needs are evolving. Mobile Associates excel at building relationships with customers, identifying needs, and educating, demonstrating, and recommending solutions.

They exceed performance targets by doing it the right way, excelling in sales, providing exceptional customer experiences, and meeting quality of sale metrics.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively engages with a broad range of customers in a highly-traffic retail environment. Use digital tools, communicate effectively, educate customers, and showcase the value of T-Mobile solutions.
  • Leverage digital self-serve tools during customer interactions and onboarding. Identify customer needs and use solution-based selling to demonstrate the value of T-Mobile products and services. Recommend wireless solutions and an onboarding solution to help customers self-serve and utilize the T-Mobile app.
  • Complete training on the in-store experience, new skills, products, processes, and knowledge of systems and reference resources. Review personal results, current promotions, and updates to be Customer Ready at all times. Partner with nearby stores to onboard customers. Include skills practice, knowledge sharing, store operations, opening and closing procedures. Carry keys to kiosk cabinets, lock/secure assets, and report missing keys or assets to the manager.
  • Be customer-obsessed: be passionate, friendly, and engaging with customers. Connect on a personal level, match the pace of the customer, build rapport, trust, and loyalty. Provide exceptional service and exceed expectations. Proactively reach out to potential customers, follow up, capture referrals, manage Be Back processes, and build relationships with new and existing customers. Perform price overrides for specialty offers for National Retail where permitted.
  • Build relationships with nearby leadership and teams to support the customer experience from account setup to device support and account servicing.
  • Education:

    High School Diploma/GED (Required).
  • Work Experience:

    6 months of customer service and/or sales experience; retail environment preferred (Required).
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    Customer satisfaction, passion for helping customers, effective balancing of experience and performance goals (Required).
  • Team Building:
    Desire to be part of the T-Mobile store team, willingness to work with peers and leaders, learning and sharing best practices (Required).
  • Retail Sales:
    Competitive drive and confidence to succeed in a fast-paced sales environment (Required).

Hourly Base Pay: $17.50, plus $5.00 per hour training pay. Within the first 90 days you’ll receive on-the-job training and are eligible for hourly training pay. After completion, you may be promoted to Mobile Expert with an annual incentive target of $18,000 (varies by performance and status). All employees are guaranteed to earn $20/hour including base pay and incentives. Eligible for an Annual Stock Grant.
