Member Specialist

Position Summary:

This role involves providing member service, maintaining the checkout area, resolving member issues, promoting products, and managing self‑service technology.

• Provides guidance and support to members regarding self‑service technology.
• Processes member purchases, assists with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures.
• Follows company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps.
• Follows proper procedures for handling merchandise and reports unsafe situations.
• Maintains entrance areas, acknowledges members, verifies membership cards, and identifies member needs.
• Assists members with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, and transporting items.
• Arranges and organizes merchandise to maintain a safe shopping environment.
• Maintains exit areas, reviews member receipts, and ensures security against potential criminal activity.
• Maintains paperwork, logs, and other required documentation.
• Executes emergency response procedures and ensures compliance with security and safety practices.
• Assists with training new associates on company processes and technologies.
• Provides continuous learning and process improvement opportunities.
• Ensures area of responsibility is maintained in accordance with company policies, including handling returns and identifying shrink or damages.
• Collaborates with managers, co‑workers, and customers to set priorities, deadlines, and improvement opportunities.

The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $26.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.

Retail experience including operating front‑end equipment (for example, cash register) and working with mobile retail applications.
