Leading Edge Security is seeking a driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to assist with outbound prospecting and lead generation in the Bloomington, Indiana market. This is a strictly commission-based, at-will contract role , paid only on closed projects —not per appointment or activity.
This position is well-suited for a college student or early-career professional seeking internship hours, real-world sales experience, and direct exposure to high-volume cold calling and outbound business development.
Role OverviewThe SDR will be responsible for initiating outbound calls, engaging decision-makers, and helping move opportunities into the sales pipeline. Success in this role requires comfort with cold calling, consistency, and a results-driven mindset.
Time Commitment- 5–10 hours per week
- Expected to make 25–40 outbound calls per day
- Nursing homes
- Apartment complexes
- Located in Bloomington, Indiana and within a 60-mile radius
- Conduct outbound cold calls to prospective clients
- Identify and speak with decision-makers
- Communicate the value of Leading Edge Security’s services
- Support the sales process by generating qualified opportunities
- Maintain basic records of outreach and follow-ups
- Commission-only
- Paid exclusively on closed projects
- No pay for appointments, meetings set, or call volume
- No base pay, hourly wage, or draw
- Must reside within the Bloomington, Indiana metropolitan area or within a 60-mile radius
- Comfortable with cold calling and rejection
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and dependable
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- This is a 1099 at-will contract position
- The contract may be terminated by either party at any time , with or without cause
- No benefits or guaranteed compensation
