We produce the majority of our printed apparel in our Michigan facility with 172,000 SF of screen printing and embroidery production and over 300 employees.

We serve both B2C and B2B customers nationwide and help brands and licensors sell online.

UGP is seeking a dynamic Sales Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Availability outside regular business hours may be required to ensure excellent customer support and timely deal closure. The Sales Manager will be a member of the Sales team, reporting to the Regional Sales Manager. This role is in-person, based at our retail location in Bloomington, IN.

The position is a fixed work schedule with coordination with the direct manager and/or team for urgent items, including after-hours if needed. This role supervises store and sales associates and related functions.

Responsibilities
  • Promote UGP core values: show up, work hard, be respectful and honest, strive for excellence, do what you say, and promote DEI.
  • Convert quotes to leads and sales;
    Marketing drives quotes, Sales converts to orders.
  • Communicate sales, store, and personnel information to the Regional Manager promptly.
  • Adhere to the Digital Code of Conduct.
  • Provide constructive feedback to influence positive change.
  • Participate in weekly 1:1 meetings with the Regional Sales Manager and a weekly L10 with the RSM and other sales managers.
  • Assist in coverage when other UGP team members are unavailable (email, phone, and potentially travel).
  • Take care of customers to ensure the best possible experience and outcome.
  • Engage with the local community and attend events (e.g., Downtown Association meetings, networking groups, chamber of commerce).
  • Communicate with customers via phone, email, or in person to determine needs, focusing on customer preferences.
  • Share ideas for sales and marketing tools with the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Collaborate with the National Sales Manager and Head of Marketing to engage customers and drive sales at events and local opportunities.
Location & Store Responsibilities
  • Open and close the store per checklists and hours.
  • Handle deposits for custom and retail orders following procedures.
  • Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate Store Associates.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming storefront; clearly mark and stock custom orders and retail products.
  • Ensure the store is open for scheduled hours and special events.
  • Schedule SA store hours and manage call-offs, no-shows, and shift changes.
  • Coordinate retail displays to optimize sales.
  • Perform supervisory duties, including time card approvals, annual reviews, disciplinary actions, and time-off requests for SAs.
  • Manage store operations during major retail events (e.g., home football weekends, graduations, fairs).
Qualifications
  • Degree from a 4-year college or university.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous sales experience.
  • Strong typing speed and accuracy.
  • Highly organized.
  • Proficient with Gmail, cloud computing tools, and social media.
  • Prior management experience is preferred.
