R&D Partners is seeking a Specialty Sales Representative to join a leading biotechnology company. This role focuses on engaging healthcare professionals (HCPs) in primary care, podiatry, and dermatology to promote innovative products. The ideal candidate will utilize data-driven insights, clinical knowledge, and strong interpersonal skills to achieve sales objectives and build lasting relationships with HCPs and their staff.
Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
Responsibilities- Engage target prescribers within the assigned geographical territory.
- Deliver clinically focused sales messages to introduce, launch, and grow product usage.
- Execute tactical strategies to meet individual, regional, and corporate sales goals.
- Meet call plan expectations and adhere to company policies, including the Code of Conduct.
- Educate HCPs on product use through one‑on‑one meetings, group presentations, and approved promotional programs.
- Collaborate with Regional Business Directors and internal/external teams to achieve objectives.
- Communicate persuasively using effective selling, listening, and negotiation skills across multiple communication channels (virtual, face‑to‑face, email, phone).
- Maintain positive and compliant relationships with HCPs and office staff.
- Accurately report sales activities, expenses, and call data within deadlines.
- Stay updated on company products and therapeutic information through training programs.
- Represent the company at national/local conventions as needed.
- Analyze sales data to optimize promotional budgets.
- Distribute samples and record transactions per company policy and PDMA guidelines.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
- 2-4 years of pharmaceutical or medical sales experience required.
- Experience executing total office calls in primary care or specialty settings required.
- Prior experience promoting newly launched products strongly preferred.
- Knowledge in antibacterial/infectious disease therapeutic areas preferred.
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales goals and achieving national recognition.
- Strong presentation, organization, administrative, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience optimizing CRM systems to support territory dynamics.
- Consultative selling experience.
- Safe driving record and valid driver’s license.
- Ability to travel as necessary, including overnight and weekend travel.
- Meet pre‑employment screening, background checks, drug testing, and motor vehicle history requirements.
- Travel: Ability to travel as required, including overnight and weekend trips.
- Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
