Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute and promote products aligned to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and product promotion activities.
- Analyze local market; develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize product use in territory.
- Maintain current product, disease, competitive, and market reimbursement knowledge.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) within territory.
- Communicate persuasively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Complete monitoring and reporting requirements (expenses and call reporting) using approved systems.
- Maintain compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Meet industry-standard credentialing requirements of healthcare providers and customer facilities.
- Additional ad-hoc projects as needed.
- BS/BA with GPA > 3.0.
- Minimum 3 years pharmaceutical sales experience preferred; otherwise may be considered for “Associate.”
- Atypical antipsychotic and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
- Specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management preferred.
- Reimbursement experience preferred.
- Relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in assigned territory (or within 24 months) preferred.
- Valid driver’s license; clean driving history.
- Must reside within territory geography.

- Ability to navigate complex organizations; organize and prioritize; adjust for roadblocks.
- Customer-focused, self-motivated, computer proficient.
- Ability to travel (including overnights); occasional out-of-territory travel and off-hours meetings.
- Ability to lift/move up to 15 lbs occasionally.
