Position Summary
KEP Electric is seeking skilled and experienced Electricians to join our growing organization. This role requires technical expertise in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential environments – including both new builds and lived‑in homes. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of NEC codes, prioritizes safety, and excels in customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to scheduled and emergency service calls in residential homes (occupied and unoccupied).
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues related to panels, circuits, breakers, lighting, outlets, GFCIs, switches, and more.
- Conduct home warranty repairs and ensure homeowner satisfaction through quality service and clear communication.
- Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor while working in lived‑in homes.
- Accurately complete service tickets and document repairs performed, parts used, and next steps if required.
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of company vehicles, tools, and PPE.
- Communicate effectively with service coordinators, homeowners, and field leadership.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve system performance or customer satisfaction.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Years of Experience2–4 years.
Specific Qualifications- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an electrician.
- Demonstrated skill in electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics in residential settings.
- Strong knowledge of NEC codes and compliance requirements.
- Recognized for high‑quality workmanship, professionalism, and safety.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Willingness to work independently and travel to various residential job sites.
- Journeyman Electrician License (as required by state or local jurisdiction).
- Experience using field service management apps or reporting software.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
