Your Impact

Pearce is seeking Experienced HVAC Technicians to join our team for servicing and repairing commercial HVAC equipment on telecom shelters located on cell tower sites. This fast-paced, rewarding role is best suited for responsible, self-directed, highly motivated individuals who are willing to travel and want to grow in the telecom industry. This is a regional position. Candidates should reside in Bloomington, IN.

Core

Responsibilities
  • Maintain cooling systems – diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, or install and replace components of entire systems.
  • Conduct performance checks and regular maintenance on HVAC equipment.
  • Perform additional maintenance or upgrades to out-of-season HVAC equipment.
  • Respond to service calls in a timely manner, including emergency call-out services.
  • Complete daily work reports accurately and promptly.
  • Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.

Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.

Core Experience
  • Must be Level 2 or Universal EPA Certified (Required).
  • 3+ years of experience with HVAC maintenance (commercial preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components including refrigeration systems is preferred.
  • Must communicate effectively both verbally and by email.
Other Requirements
  • Candidates should reside in Bloomington, IN.
  • Must be available for after-hours and weekend call-outs on occasion.
  • Extensive daily travel in an independent work structure.
  • Occasional overnights required – company pays all travel costs and provides per diem.
  • Drive to remote work sites as needed.
  • Be exposed to ambient temperatures while working outdoors.
  • Lift and move equipment as needed (up to 50 pounds).
  • Will be required to pass a Department of Transportation physical.
Compensation

Compensation: $27.00–$38.00 hourly / DOE. Compensation is influenced by skill level, experience, and location. In addition to wages, employees may be eligible for performance and referral bonuses, production incentives, tool/equipment and fuel stipends, a company vehicle, per diem or other applicable compensation. All full-time employees receive a comprehensive benefits package including health and life insurance, a 401(k) with employer match, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and professional development courses.
