Out during the week, back before the weekend gets started. This regional lane keeps you moving through Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio with a full 34 hour reset built into every cycle - long enough to actually catch up on sleep, laundry, and everything else that piles up on the road.
Regional routes through Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio
Weekly home time with a 34 hour reset (weekend days not guaranteed)
Average 1,600 miles weekly, average 10 stops weekly
Short hauls, typically under 150 miles per run
2023 Freightliner sleeper trucks, automatic transmission
Outward-facing dash cams only, no in-cab monitoring
Grocery reefer freight, dual and tri-temp trailers
No touch freight - driver unload with pallet jack assistance
What it pays:
$1,700-$1,800 average weekly gross ($88,000 to $90,000 annually)
Base rate $0.90/mile (already includes a $0.15/mile bonus)
Plus $20 per stop and $35 per load on top of mileage pay
Bump to $0.05/mile more once you hit your 1 year mark
$7,500 sign-on bonus, released in stages across your first year
Who fits:
21 years of age or older
6+ months of verifiable tractor trailer experience within the last 3 years
3 or fewer moving violations in the last 3 years
3 or fewer DOT recordable accidents in the last 3 years
On top of pay:
Medical, dental, life insurance kick in the 1st of the month after 60 days
401(k) with employer match
One day paid orientation, held in Shelbyville, IN
Toll transponder and Comdata fuel card issued on day one
