Position: Warehouse Associate/Coordinator (1st Shift)

Overview

Warehouse Associate/Coordinator (1st Shift) – Bloomington, Indiana, United States

Simtra Bio Pharma Solutions is a Contract Development Manufacturing Organization focused on providing cGMP manufacturing and related services for sterile injectable products. The role supports receiving, shipping, storage, inventory accuracy, and picking operations from receipt through final product shipment. It involves GDPs, cGMP compliance, powered industrial trucks, and material handling between Simtra locations. The weekend Associate/Coordinator supports production through staging and batch preparation, material movement, and inventory upkeep.

The position may cross-train in all Supply Chain warehouses and reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Hours:

8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday

Responsibilities
  • Safe loading and unloading of trucks with BOL/packslip verification and damage assessment.
  • Proper packing of material for shipment.
  • Use of systems to ship materials (Fed Ex, UPS computers).
  • Documentation of shipping, receiving, or batch dispensing activities for active drug product and finished product.
  • Receive and fill orders across Receiving, Shipping, and Dispensing; adjust orders for damages or shortages.
  • Fill and prepare inventory for transportation; monitor progress for efficient completion.
  • Ability to travel to perform duties in multiple locations.
  • Compliance with DOT, IATA, and company SOPs and regulatory requirements in warehouse activities.
  • Perform general warehouse duties: cycle counting, temperature monitoring, work order picking, ERP navigation, inventory accuracy, and material storage.
  • Operate powered industrial trucks and other material handling equipment.
  • Respond to environmental chamber alarms and follow Good Manufacturing Processes and Good Documentation Practices.
  • Primary responsibilities include other duties as assigned.

Truck Driving
:
Will be required to drive company trucks; requires a For Hire license and must meet driver requirements.

  • Use company computer systems to initiate reports, track inventory, and transact activities.
  • Coordinate movement of material and order picking between warehouses at correct product temperatures.
  • Complete dangerous goods Bill of Lading where required.
  • Daily vehicle inspection and cleaning; operate temperature control units; download truck data; refuel as needed.
  • Adhere to DOT regulations; dispense material from Raw Materials warehouse.
  • Operate barcode scanning equipment.
  • Education:

    High school diploma or GED required; associates degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of warehouse and/or technical office experience required.
  • Operate forklift and other material handling equipment; obtain Hazardous Materials certification.
  • Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook; use enterprise software (examples include D365, Veeva, Trackwise).
  • Must have or obtain a For-Hire License endorsement within 30 days of hire.
  • Basic math skills; ability to work independently.

Physical / Safety requirements:

  • Lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs; bending, twisting, stooping as needed.
  • Overtime, including nights and weekends.
  • Manual dexterity; ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods.
  • Climb in/out of warehouse trucks; operate PIT equipment; work in temperatures from
    -65 to
    -85 Celsius.
