Hourly Rate$19.75/hour
Position OverviewThe Accounting Assistant 3 will support the Accounts Payable and Invoice Indexing team within a Financial Shared Services environment. This role involves reviewing and processing invoices, supporting month‑end activities, and utilizing multiple accounting and document management systems to ensure accurate and timely financial operations.
Key Responsibilities- Review and process invoices accurately and efficiently using financial and document management systems
- Ensure all required financial information is identified and validated
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and related issues
- Work independently while meeting departmental productivity metrics and service level agreements
- Support month‑end accounting requirements
- Communicate professionally regarding company policies and procedures
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of related experience
- Experience in Accounts Payable or General Accounting
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Word and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service mindset
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently
- Experience with Costpoint, SAP, OCR systems, Open Text VIM, or Perceptive Content
- Government contracting experience
- Knowledge of FAR, GAAP, and SOX requirements
- Advanced Excel skills
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or related field
- Experience working within a shared services environment
