Part Time Accounting Specialist

Job Description

We are in search of an Accounting Specialist for a long-term contract employment opportunity based in St. Paul, Minnesota. The selected individual will play a crucial role in our team, handling various accounting functions, utilizing accounting software systems, and maintaining accuracy in our financial records. This part time position is estimated to work 10-15 hours/week.

• Utilize accounting software systems to process financial transactions accurately.
• Manage check processing to ensure timely and accurate payments.
• Perform routine accounting functions, including managing accounts payable and receivable.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data and prepare reports.
• Maintain accurate records of all accounting-related transactions.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline financial operations.
• Address customer inquiries related to their accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
• Monitor customer accounts regularly to identify any irregularities.
• Take appropriate action on customer accounts based on monitoring results.
• Ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures.

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
• Experience in various Accounting Functions
• Ability to manage financial data and to accurately record it
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• Professional certification such as CPA is a plus
• Familiarity with financial regulations and standards.
