Overview
Supports essential IT operations by delivering technical assistance and administrative support to the IT department and end users.
Work schedule will be up to 20-29 hours a week.

- Answers Help Desk line and monitors Support ticket requests
- Assists with dispatching duties and end user support
- Assists in the implementation, documentation, modification and maintenance of PC hardware and software in response to needs and requests
- Assists with technology hardware inventory and tracking
- Assists with the implementation and support of software applications
- Assists with end-user computer training
- Performs periodic system maintenance functions as apparent or assigned
- Operates and supports a variety of equipment used in the office including printers, multi-function devices and label makers
- Purchases office supplies and computer equipment with a city-issued purchasing card as directed
- May enter purchase requisitions into the City’s Enterprise Resource Planning system
- May perform administrative tasks such as data entry
- May purchase refreshments for training sessions and business meetings
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as apparent or assigned
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees and the general public, both orally and in writing
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, Windows operating system, and common software applications
- Familiarity with troubleshooting techniques for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices
- Good mathematical aptitude, organizational and administrative support skills
- Excellent communication and client support skills
- Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining a professional and positive attitude
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- High School graduate or equivalent
- One year of experience in Information Technology support role
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, and the ability to learn specific software programs
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Valid driver’s license
- Work overtime when assigned as well as working various shifts and schedules when necessary
- Two years post-high school education
- General office support experience
- Additional years of Information Technology support experience
- Experience with Windows Operating System, Microsoft Teams, or Mobile Technologies
This position does not supervise others.
Anticipated Hiring Range: $3.187 – $4.347 Hourly
2026 Full Salary Range: $31.87 – $43.62 Hourly
