Job OverviewThe Martin Luther Care Center is looking for a Receptionist to serve as the face of our Skilled Nursing Facility and act as the first point of contact for adult residents, families, visitors and staff. This position is responsible for clerical support to all departments needing assistance and will answer phones, greet visitors and vendors at our vibrant care center location in Bloomington, MN.
- 25 hours per two weeks (part‑time, short shifts)
- Day/Evening shift
- Every other weekend Saturday and Sunday
Martin Luther Care Center, part of the Martin Luther Senior Living Campus, is located in East Bloomington, near woodlands/wetlands and along the Minnesota River Bluffs. Managed by Ebenezer, we offer 137 units between our Skilled Nursing, Memory Care and Transitional Care. We have an outstanding team of tenured staff. The only thing missing is YOU! Responsibilities- Functions as receptionist for the building.
- Greets and provides courteous assistance to visitors, residents, and vendors.
- Answers the telephone, takes accurate messages and ensures delivery of the message to the appropriate person.
- Maintains workspace in a clean and orderly way to create the best ‘first impression’ to customers.
- Responds to medical, fire, maintenance and security emergencies per building policies and procedures.
- Provides clerical support as requested: typing and sending out memos/communications, minutes of meetings, letters, etc.; copying, collating, and filing documents.
- Submits work orders in TELS to ensure timely response to resident requests.
- Schedules and reserves various rooms and Guest Suites within the building.
- Orders office supplies as needed.
- Manages, sorts, and distributes building mail and package pickup for residents.
- Maintains key fob system – entering and deleting key fobs.
- Updates building directories.
- Manages and reconciles petty cash.
- Supports sales and marketing department: collects information from prospective clients, provides tours, and assists with new move‑in paperwork, pictures, and keys.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1 year of related work experience in a similar environment.
