Aftermarket Inventory Analyst II – The Toro Company

Location:

Bloomington, MN (hybrid model – 3 days on‑site, 2 days optional remote; fully remote not available). May require occasional visits to warehouse or distribution center locations. All employees must maintain a valid US passport and driver’s license.

What Will You Do?
  • Analyze inventory data, including sales history, demand patterns, and market trends, to forecast future inventory requirements accurately.
  • Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels, ensuring alignment with sales forecasts and production schedules.
  • Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies, conduct root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain regular inventory reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators such as inventory turnover, stock‑outs, excess inventory, and service levels.
  • Collaborate with sourcing, sales, logistics, and warehouse teams to optimize inventory replenishment strategies and manage inbound/outbound material flow.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and refinement of inventory control policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Utilize inventory management software and ERP systems (SAP experience preferred) to track, manage, and report on inventory.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to reduce carrying costs, minimize waste, and enhance overall supply‑chain efficiency.
  • Participate in the creation of stocking strategies aligned with business needs and departmental goals.
  • Support new product introductions and phase‑outs by managing inventory transitions effectively.
  • Communicate inventory status, potential issues, and recommendations to management and relevant stakeholders.
What Do You Need?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2‑5 years of experience in inventory management, demand planning, or a similar analytical role within a supply‑chain environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, SUMIFs).
  • Experience with inventory management software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Solid understanding of inventory control principles, forecasting methods, and supply‑chain best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) or other relevant professional certification.
  • Experience with advanced data analysis tools or business intelligence platforms (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of lean inventory principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry.
