Position

Summary

The Manager of Portfolio Execution will facilitate the planning and execution of acquisitions and divestitures. As part of the Strategy & Corporate Development organization, this role is critical to ensuring seamless integration / separation planning and execution across the business and all functional teams. As member of the central IMO or SMO, this role will support alignment, governance, and operational excellence to achieve transaction milestones and value creation.

Acquisition

Integration Planning & Execution
  • Coordinate integration and separation activities across functional teams with a focus on value creation and business continuity
  • Support the development and maintenance of detailed integration and separation plans, timelines, milestones and deliverables
  • Support the planning, execution and monitoring of integrations, ensuring acquisitions achieve deal model metrics and key milestones
  • Track progress against key milestones and identify risks, dependencies, and issues requiring resolution or escalation
  • Support governance processes, including steering committees and functional and workstream leadership
  • Be a strong carrier of the Solventum brand and values in engagement with deal partners
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Establish a strong working relationship with the business (Sales, Marketing, R&D etc.) and functions (Finance, Global Supply Chain, Regulatory, Quality, HR, IT, etc.) to:
  • Create a clear plan for execution (integration / separation master tracker)
  • Identify and track interdependencies, key risks, roadblocks, or lacking alignment early and provide visibility to leadership
  • Help drive accountability for milestone achievement
  • Provide tools, templates, and thought leadership to facilitate effective processes
Communication
  • Excel at verbal and written communication with program stakeholders at peer level and above
  • Support development of clear communication of integration / separation planning, jointly with Communications and other functions
  • Facilitate and prepare information sharing between functional teams and with executive leadership
  • Assist in preparation of materials for governance reviews, steering committees, and executive updates
Performance Tracking
  • Track and monitor KPIs and milestones for integration success
  • Support quarterly report creation for Executive Leadership Team on progress toward goals and mitigation plans when off track
  • Contribute to integration post-mortems and incorporate lessons learned into playbook and processes
Divestitures and Separations
  • Support separation planning and execution, aiming to ensure business continuity and achieving set separation targets (revenue growth, cost synergies, retention / hiring, operational integration objectives e.g., systems onboarding, etc.)
  • Help coordinate Transitional Service Agreements (TSAs) and manage the exit process and timelines, in close collaboration with the TMO
Other Corp Dev
  • Partner with the broader Strategy & Corp Dev Team (Business Development, Corporate Strategy) to support other inorganic growth initiatives
  • Support continued enhancement of M&A execution methodologies, tools, templates, and training materials
