Park Nicollet is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our Patient Financial Services (PFS) team. As a Partner for Good, you will help improve care and experience for patients and families.

Position Summary

The Customer Service Representative researches and resolves billing, insurance, or payment concerns, ensuring timely and accurate handling in accordance with policies, the Attorney General Agreement, and federal regulations. Responsibilities include obtaining payment over the phone or in person, offering payment arrangements, updating account information, providing accurate information, facilitating resolution to inquiries, offering financial assistance, and directing patients to government assistance programs.

Professional and positive representation of the company is required.

Required Qualifications
  • One-year related work experience as a customer service, collections, or revenue cycle professional.
  • Self‑motivation, professionalism, and composure in problem resolution.
  • Moderate proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
  • Working knowledge of typical office equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong computer literacy/typing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including phone etiquette.
  • Proactive problem solver, fosters teamwork and trust, skilled in prioritizing and organizing.
  • Understanding of Fair Debt Collection Practices, Attorney General Agreement, Affordable Care Act, and general familiarity with bankruptcy laws.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to respond professionally in conflict/emotional situations.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and accounts receivable systems.
  • Medical terminology and procedural/diagnostic coding knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Electronic Medical Record systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
