About Angelica Cantanti Youth Choirs

Founded in 1980, Angelica Cantanti Youth Choirs (ACYC) is an award‑winning 501(c)(3) nonprofit and one of the oldest children’s community choral programs in the Twin Cities. ACYC serves youth in grades K–12 across nine ensembles, and is recognized throughout the Minneapolis/St. Paul arts community for excellence in music education and performance.

About the Role

ACYC seeks a compassionate, skilled music educator to lead the Glee Choir — a welcoming ensemble for singers in grades 4–12 with special needs. The Glee Choir creates a joyful, structured environment where singers of varying abilities develop vocal skills, build confidence, and experience the deep social rewards of making music together. A unique feature of the ensemble is the inclusion of peer mentors from ACYC’s advanced choirs, strengthening community and friendship bonds across the organization.

A parent, guardian, or caregiver attends rehearsals to support each singer.

  • Prepare singers for performances appropriate to the ensemble’s readiness and comfort level
  • Establish and support peer mentorships
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, engaging rehearsal environment

Schedule:
