MNVA ALP Special Education Teacher

Alternative Learning Program Teaching Position – MNVA is growing our ALP Team by adding a full-time Special Education teacher for the  school year.

Our ALP Team focuses on meeting the needs of each individual student while ensuring the best educational program and experience.

• Current or eligible for K-12 Special Education teaching licensure in Minnesota
• Student-centered mindset with a focus on collaborative relationships with students, parents, employees, and community agencies.
• Experience with providing services to students in the virtual setting or willingness to attend professional development to obtain these skills

• Participating in student in‑take meetings
• Monitoring students' daily progress and attendance
• Supporting students in a variety of subject areas
• Holding live class connect sessions and direct service minutes
• Developing and implementing IEPs based on student needs and progress
• Working with school counselor to track student progress toward graduation
• Collaborating with content area teachers to support and monitor student progress
