Job Description

This position provides speech and language services to special education students who qualify for extended school year services.

License & Experience
  • Licensed Speech‑Language Pathologist in the State of Minnesota
  • Valid Minnesota Driver's License
  • Knowledge and experience working with students with speech and language impairments
  • Experience working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and families
  • Knowledge and experience completing assessments and due process and following timeline requirements of special education
  • Experience completing Part C and Part B evaluations
  • Ability to assure and implement state and federal laws, statutes, rules and regulations pertaining to special education
  • Team‑oriented approach when working with students, colleagues, families, and administrators
  • Effective communication and teaming skills, both verbally and in writing, with students, parents, teachers, administrators, community, and staff
  • Establishes a culture for learning by supporting the mission, beliefs and the strategic plan of the district
  • Inspires and engages all students in relevant learning
  • Maintains confidentiality of information about students, staff and families
  • Experience working with diverse students and families – experience/training with CLR (Culturally Linguistically Responsive) methods preferred
