Social Worker, School Psychologist or School Counselor – Full Time Position ()

A full-time (1.00 FTEs) position as a School Social Worker, School Psychologist, or School Counselor for the 2026 - 2027 school year.

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) K-12 Interventionist

As a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Interventionist, you will support the development and implement a solid SEL program and assist teachers in providing Tier II and Tier III interventions for students who need more intensive levels of support for SEL. This goal will be accomplished by working alongside school staff and serving as a liaison between the school and families.

Responsibilities
  • Under general supervision, coordinate social-emotional learning (SEL) support for students, as well as SEL professional development for staff working directly with students on your caseload.
  • Provide individual and group counseling/skill development in the five CASEL areas of SEL.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, school staff.
  • Assist site staff with the identification of students who need additional (intensive/Tier III) SEL support as it aligns to a student's IEP.
  • Ability to provide Tier II and/or Tier III SEL interventions directly or through consultation to other educators and support staff. Consultation and collaboration with others is important in the development or generalization of SEL skills.
  • Participate in joint planning and case management with community agencies that support students' SEL abilities.
  • Maintain professional practice and development, staying current with recent approaches to improving SEL for students, staff, and families.
  • Gather and track data on student progress.
  • Work independently, with minimal supervision and guidance, in performing all assigned responsibilities in an efficient and correct manner.
  • Monitor and maintain student 504s.
  • Assist with K-5 attendance and a member of the attendance team.
Requirements
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain either a valid school psychologist, school counselor, school social worker, or special education teaching license. Persons who also maintain a teaching license or who have classroom teaching experience are preferred.
  • Must be able to speak before groups of people with poise, voice control, and confidence
  • Strong interpersonal relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral forms
  • Ability to develop and compile a variety of records and reports
  • Experience with spreadsheets and assessing data, student data systems
