Wayzata Public Schools is currently seeking Licensed Special Education teachers for an extended school year program.
Location: District
Compensation: BA = $40.75/Hour, MA = $44.95/Hour. This position is not eligible for health and dental benefits unless currently contracted with Wayzata Public Schools.
Positions Available- Early Learning School:
July 8-31, Tue-Thu, 9:00-11:30 or 9:00-12:00 (12 days) - Plymouth Creek Elementary School:
July 7-31, Mon-Thu 8:30-11:30 (16 days) - Central Middle School:
July 7-31, Mon-Thu 9:30-12:30 (16 days) - Wayzata High School:
July 7-31, Mon-Thu 12:30-15:30 (16 days) - Wayzata Transition School:
July 7-31, Mon-Thu 8:30-11:30 (16 days)

Position DescriptionWayzata Public Schools is currently seeking Special Education teachers with the ability, skills, and training necessary to work with a broad array of students with disabilities in a cross-categorical model, such that they can receive an appropriate education program in their neighborhood school.
Qualifications- Special Education Licensure required for working with students in Federal Setting 1-3.
- Multiple licensure preferred.
- ASD preferred.
- Ability to design and implement specially designed instruction tailored to meet the unique needs of students requiring special education services.
- Experience and willingness to work on general education teams and provide collaborative special education services with general education teachers are required.
- Ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals and effectively direct the work delegated to them.
- Interest in and ability to relate well to elementary students.
- Experience with evaluation and eligibility determination for special education services preferred.
