Position Information

The College of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine and the College of Health and Wellness seek a dedicated and knowledgeable Tai Ji instructor who is passionate about teaching and mentoring students.

This adjunct faculty position offers the opportunity to contribute to the education of future healthcare professionals by providing instruction in Tai Ji theory and practice within an integrative health and wellness curriculum.

The ideal candidate will create an engaging and supportive learning environment that promotes student participation and skill development.

Work Location

Bloomington, MN (in-person)

Course Assignment Specifics

Tai Ji (0.5 credits per course)

Duties
  • Apply effective teaching strategies and multiple teaching techniques; teaching and modeling appropriate level learning skills and creating an environment conducive to learning.
  • Engage students with learning activities, collaboration, and student-centered learning.
  • Provide students with timely and clear feedback.
  • Conduct effective classroom management and present well-planned and organized lectures.
  • Teach the course according to the syllabus and learning outcomes with relevant content and experiences to enhance the learning environment.
  • Demonstrate professional rapport with adequate verbal and written communication skills with students.
What you need to have
  • Bachelor's degree, required
  • Minimum of three years of Tai Ji instructional experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to student success, collaboration, and an inclusive learning environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to provide clear, constructive, and actionable feedback that supports student growth and learning
Compensation

$1,300 per academic credit. The hiring rate reflects a candidate with a bachelor's degree and at least 5+ semesters of college-level teaching experience. Candidates with less experience or a lower degree level will have their rate adjusted accordingly.
