The Relief Artificial Insemination (A.I.) Technician (Level
1) position is full-time position supporting a team of area Professional A.I. Technicians. It is the first step to begin potential development toward a variety of other positions within Select Sires Member Cooperative (SSMC). Level II and III set forth additional requirements for advancement in the reproductive service function of our company. By developing your skills required for Levels I, II, and III, you are preparing yourself for advancement and enhanced compensation as well as multiple career opportunities with  this position, you serve as the service provider to the customer when team technicians have regularly scheduled time
-off. You will gain exposure to multiple facets of our organization and are expected to pursue continuous learning. Skill development is most desirable in estrous detection, daily A.I. technician work, activity monitoring system data analysis and management, and genetic development strategies. In addition, professionalism, selling skills, customer service, data management, teamwork, will all be utilized. Through continuous learning, the employee will develop the skills necessary to prepare them for excellence in this position as well as future opportunities.
