- Actively supporting EHS improvements.
- Leading value stream improvement projects.
- Driving improvements in safety, quality, service, and cost for manufacturing lines and associated products.
- Support rapid resolution of customer complaints, including timely response, and implementation and communication of corrective actions.
- Provide daily production support and troubleshooting for assigned products and manufacturing operations, including occasional availability on nights and weekends as needed.
- Work with cross-functional teams to launch new product introduction.
- Improve manufacturing operations using continuous improvement and project management tools.
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or other manufacturing STEM degree (completed and verified prior to start).
- Two (2) years experience in Product, Process, Quality, and/or Manufacturing Engineering in a private, public, government or military environment (internships included).
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university.
- Five (5) Years experience in Manufacturing Engineering roles.
- Experience with processes that involve film/web handling.
- Proficiency in the use of statistical tools and data analysis in problem solving.
- Experience in applying lean manufacturing concepts and methodologies to manufacturing.
- Leadership with driving quality improvement and cost reduction project.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
