Position Overview
This is a senior-level opportunity for an experienced Building Enclosure Consultant to take ownership of complex projects while playing a key role in growing a local practice. The role blends technical delivery, client‑facing leadership, and team development, with exposure to both new construction and existing building work. Travel is project‑dependent and typically limited to a regional footprint.
Role & Responsibilities- Lead building enclosure consulting and commissioning engagements from proposal through closeout
- Oversee multidisciplinary project teams, providing technical direction and mentorship
- Deliver enclosure services across design, construction, commissioning, and existing‑building investigations
- Prepare and review high‑quality technical reports, design reviews, and client deliverables
- Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client relationship management
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and developing junior and mid‑level staff
- Contribute to financial performance and project profitability
- Participate in industry groups, conferences, and technical initiatives where appropriate
- 10+ years of direct building enclosure consulting experience in lieu of a degree
- Professional licensure as a Registered Architect or Structural Engineer (or ability to obtain within one year)
- Strong technical understanding of façade, roofing, waterproofing, and enclosure systems
- Proven experience managing both small and large‑scale projects
- Comfortable performing site work, inspections, and field investigations
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Ability to travel up to 25% as project demands require
- Valid driver’s license and ability to access construction sites safely
- Exposure to a wide range of building types and enclosure systems
- Experience with enclosure testing, investigations, and condition assessments
- Familiarity with modeling tools such as WUFI, THERM, or similar platforms
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and design tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up, BIM)
- Safety training or scaffold certification is a plus
- Total compensation of $115,000-$140,000, dependent on experience
