- Expand product and process understanding for assigned products and new product development.
- Lead product changes and support process changes, ensuring full knowledge of implications and adherence to change control procedures.
- Drive new product scale‑up and product characterization, working closely with manufacturing teams.
- Create, review, approve, and own product standards and test methods to support customer or new product development requirements; drive common product standards across global sites.
- Assist plants with complaint resolution and reduction projects; use root cause analysis to identify failure modes.
- Bachelor's degree completed and verified before start, from an accredited institution.
- Seven years of combined product, materials, and/or process engineering experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
- Master's degree or higher with at least four years of product, materials, or process engineering experience (optional).
- At least four years of pressure‑sensitive adhesive experience in formulation, development, or manufacturing.
- Experience in statistical analysis and the use of statistical tools.
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and presentation).
- Experience collaborating with production or enterprise supply‑chain teams.
Work location:
3M Center, Maplewood, MN. Minimum of four days per week on‑site.
Travel:
Up to 15% domestic or international.

Compensation & Benefits OverviewThe annual compensation range for this position is $145,676 – $178,049, including base pay plus eligible variable incentive pay.
