Senior Electrical Controls Engineer

Full‑time exempt position. Office hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Position Profile: This position is responsible for the electrical design including schematic design, writing new PLC and HMI programs, and the startup and troubleshooting of custom web converting and coating equipment.
Essential Functions- Develop applications of controls and systems including PLC and HMI development
- Provide support and field questions during the manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing processes
- Perform operation, software maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations
- Keep current with the latest technical innovations in electrical engineering and industrial controls
- Operate independently or part of a team in a fast‑paced production environment. Adapt rapidly to changes in project scope and operations workload demand.

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering:
Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, System, Controls or similar - 8+ years of experience with industrial controls in a project‑based automation or machine design environment
- PLC programming:
Allen Bradley, Siemens or Yaskawa - Motion control programming of rotary and linear servo axes
- HMI Development:
Visual , C#, Factory Talk - Machine Vision application development for inspection with Cognex, Keyence or similar platforms
- Competent in the use of Auto‑Cad Electrical
- Design electrical panels to meet UL 508A and electrical systems to meet NEC/IEC/CEC standards

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
$75,000 - $130,000 per year (DOE – Depending on Experience)
