- Update and maintain capacity model, validate assumptions and support short- and long-term planning decisions based on current factory conditions
- Manage factory-wide tools and systems
- Develop and refine models to evaluate scenarios, assess constraints and guide decision making for factory optimization
- Provide within-team and cross-department tools to reduce workload
- Lead project teams with manufacturing, facilities, and engineering to execute plans
- Prepare and deliver clear updates and actions on factory performance to stakeholders including leadership and factory performance forums
- Skilled with capacity modeling to support strategic and tactical planning and have demonstrated ability to improve standard processes or procedures
- Proven track record of leading cycle time reduction and capacity gains through tooling consolidations, offloading and forecasting management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and execute in a fast-paced environment
- Success in analyzing factory-wide projects into actionable insights
- Proficient with workflow automations to impact efficiency and identify data accuracy gaps
- Experience driving cross-functional initiatives and influencing without direct authority
- Experience collaborating with contractors or external solution providers
- Proven ability to manage and support factory manufacturing tools and systems
- Demonstrated commitment to mentoring and developing engineers
- Track record of expanding scope through new roles within teams and short-term assignments
- Experience leading cross-functional projects across manufacturing, facilities, and engineering to drive execution
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, and 5+ years of experience or master’s degree in the same and 3+ years’ experience or PhD and 0+ years’ experience or equivalent experience and education
Normandale campus, situated in the suburbs of Edina and Bloomington, serving as Seagate’s Recording Head development and manufacturing arm
Estimated base salary range: $92,310.00 – $. Salary is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
