Salary Range: The full pay range for this role is  84,700 -  141,100 annually, and the good faith estimated starting pay for this position upon hire is  105,000 -  115,000 annually. We generally base our salary decisions on factors including but not limited to, relevant work and leadership experience, education, demonstrated performance, internal equity, and in some cases, geographic location.

Scope of Job:

The Real Time Operations Engineer serves as the primary technical specialist for renewable asset operations, providing advanced troubleshooting, performance analysis, and technical leadership to ensure optimal system performance. This role combines deep technical expertise from field engineering, performance engineering with operational oversight to drive asset optimization. The Real time Operations Engineer combines real time, remote troubleshooting, analysis and active resolution for Field and OCC teams.

The Real Time Operations Engineer will work closely with all Operational Technology teams, Performance and Reliability Engineering teams, and Field Engineering teams to drive positive business outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Advanced Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
    • Serve as the highest-level technical resource for renewable asset operations in the OCC.
    • Perform advanced analysis of:
    • SCADA data system and alerts
    • Protection relay event files
    • Electrical system disturbances
    • Equipment performance anomalies
    • Lead complex troubleshooting efforts for:
    • Inverter and power conversion systems
    • Collection and distribution networks
    • Plant control and monitoring systems.
    • Interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings for system analysis.
    • Provide technical guidance to OCC operators and field teams during critical events.
    • Lead fleet‑wide troubleshooting.
    • Ensure real‑time plant event management and MOD/functional testing.
    • Liaise between the OCC, field operations, PRE and OT, gathering and integration input from all parties to develop, maintain, and implement effective SOPs and operational documents for the OCC that reflects best practices, compliance, and lessons learned from field operations.
    • Manage the creation, maintenance, and updating of necessary OCC documentation for reliable system operations.
    • Support integration of new technology into the OCC, including application systems and Monarch adjustments. Coordinating needs of OCC and development of application(s) to ensure real time feedback and integration, as well as develop training material creation and dissemination (where support is needed).
