Mers around the world to drive the adoption of industrial adhesives and tapes in the industrial marketplace. You will develop new application solutions, lead voice‑of‑customer initiatives, anticipate market trends, support data-driven design and play a key role in training customers, sales representatives, and international colleagues.
- Drive core and new industrial adhesives and tapes structural adhesives product penetration to win new bonding applications in the industrial marketplace.
- Develop new application solutions aligned to customer needs.
- Lead voice of customer efforts to support new product development programs.
- Identify and communicate future market trends and product needs for structural adhesives.
- Support creation of a database for FEA calculations of structural adhesives.
- Create new application demonstration tools.
- Train customers, sales reps, and international colleagues.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start).
- Four years laboratory environment experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Polymer/Plastics Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Two or more years experience working with adhesives.
- Proficiency in adhesive test methods and quality systems.
- Experience with adhesive dispensing/automation equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong problem‑solving/troubleshooting skills.
- Strong people skills and ability to influence, collaborate, and work with cross‑functional teams.
- Self‑directed and internally motivated with proven leadership skills.
This role follows an on‑site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.
Travel & RelocationTravel may include up to 25% domestic/international. Relocation may be authorized.
