Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the planning, design, and development of low‑voltage electronic tools, machines, and accessory products for the HVAC/R and related markets. This role owns major project deliverables, mentors junior engineers, and drives new product development from concept through production release. You will work hands‑on with PCBA design, circuit development, testing, vendor coordination, and production support.

Work Schedule:
4‑day work week (Mon–Thu, 10‑hour days between 6AM-6PM) Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical design for new and existing electromechanical products.
- Create and execute test plans; perform validation and troubleshooting.
- Transform early product concepts into production‑ready documentation.
- Participate in stage‑gate reviews and new product development reporting.
- Support production line troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities.
- Define project goals, break down ambiguous tasks, and establish clear milestones.
- Mentor and support Engineer I–III team members on complex technical challenges.
- Develop low‑voltage PCBA designs, circuit schematics, and EDA‑based layouts.
- Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manage engineering change processes (ECM)
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure component accuracy and dimensional compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including training others on established processes.
- Manage up to two direct reports, including hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and time approval.
- Knowledge of lean principles.
- Working knowledge of 3D CAD tools.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Experience with low‑voltage PCBA design.
- Circuit design experience (analog and/or digital)
- Proficiency with electronic design automation (EDA) software.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly in presentations.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or related preferred)
- 8+ years of progressively demanding new product design experience.
- Strong understanding of the new product development (NPD) process.
- Highly organized, self‑motivated, and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
Skills:
- EPA 608 Certification.
- Solid Works experience.
- Experience setting up EDA libraries.
- DBWorks or Enterprise PDM experience.
- Bluetooth communication design experience.
- Experience with ERP systems (Infor preferred)
- HVAC sensor experience (pressure, temperature, etc.)
