ResponsibilitiesSourcing/Supplier Quality Engineer Intern Position Summary
The Sourcing/Supplier Quality Engineer intern will be responsible for providing technical support focusing on supplier quality projects. The intern will assist the Supply Chain & Quality department with projects from scope definition through implementation.
This position will be located in Bloomington, MN for the summer of 2027.
Sourcing/Supplier Quality Engineer Intern Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide internal technical support for purchased materials
- Assist with supplier evaluations and supplier corrective actions
- Assist with documentation updates such as inspection procedures or drawings
- Assist with the implementation of process improvements related to incoming materials, purchasing and suppliers.
- Partners with the other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance as needed
- Understands customer needs and the core business markets we serve
- Supports and complies with the company's Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
- Completes all other work duties as assigned
Sourcing/Supplier Quality Engineer Intern Qualifications
- Enrollment in a four-year degree program for Supply Chain, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical drawings, specifications, requirements, standards, procedure manuals, etc.
- Project management and leadership skills
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and team building skills to create effective working coworkers
- Ability to follow through on commitments and holds team members accountable
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
