Position: Assistant Escrow Officer (PGP Title)

PGP Title provides secure and efficient real estate closings. Job Summary

The Assistant Escrow Officer assists with tasks related to closing real estate transactions and acts as a liaison between home buyers, sellers, mortgage lenders, accounting, and other title and settlement processes. This 100% onsite position is based in Bloomington, MN.

Primary

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform customer service duties, including answering phones and responding to general email requests.
  • Maintain a professional branch appearance and keep closing rooms and lobby clean.
  • Greet arriving customers and assist with closing celebrations.
  • Contact customers to confirm initial scheduling and obtain closing‑specific information.
  • Maintain reports and tracking of completed tasks as required.
  • Review initial closing information and prepare Pre‑Settlement Statements.
  • Review Title Commitments and identify issues.
  • Coordinate and maintain contacts for each community.
  • Work with Escrow Support Officers/IT to maintain accurate information in database systems.
  • Support the branch as directed in all aspects of settlement transactions.
  • Follow Escrow Accounting Business Practice Guidelines, including collection and disbursement of funds while complying with State and Federal Good Funds statutes.
  • Ensure adherence to workflow processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required

Education and Experience
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification as a Notary Public is a plus.
  • General office admin and/or customer service experience.
  • Experience as an Assistant Escrow Officer is a plus.
Required Skills and Knowledge
  • Exceptional customer service skills with experience engaging diverse homebuyer demographics.
  • Ability to multi‑task and handle a fast‑paced, demanding work environment.
  • Strong follow‑up skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adjust well to change.

    Collaborate effectively across dispersed teams in multiple locations.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with One Note and Soft Pro is a plus.
  • Demonstrate proactive initiative and self‑motivation to drive tasks forward independently.
  • Excels in time‑management and prioritization to meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements

Ability to exert a minimal force of 25 pounds to carry, lift, push, pull, and otherwise move objects. Occasionally may lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly rate: $27–$29, depending on experience. Eligible for an annual bonus based on the successful completion of defined performance objectives.

Benefits include up to 9 paid company holidays per year; employees with less than 10 years of service are eligible for up to 23 PTO days per year (and up to 28 PTO days per year upon 10 or more years of service). Employees may participate in the Company’s 401(k) plan, as well as medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage. Additional coverage options include disability, basic life insurance and parental leave.

Voluntary insurance options (critical illness, accident, hospital indemnity) and a tuition reimbursement program are also available. State‑required benefits such as paid family and medical leave, as applicable, are provided.
