Ledgent Finance and Accounting has an immediate need for a payment processor with a financial services organzation near the Bloomington area!
- Pay: $23-$25/hr
- Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
- Onsite Only
- ASAP Start
- Process daily payments
, including ACH, wire transfers, checks, and credit card transactions - Apply payments to customer accounts and ensure accurate posting and allocation
- Reconcile payment transactions with bank statements and internal records
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, errors, and rejected transactions
- Maintain accurate records of all payment activity for audit and reporting purposes
- Coordinate with Accounts Receivable and Accounting teams to ensure proper cash application
- Prepare and maintain daily cash reports and payment summaries
- Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls
- Support continuous improvement of payment processing workflows and systems
- High school diploma required;
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred - 1-3 years of experience in payment processing, accounts receivable, or similar role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with data entry
- Familiarity with payment methods (ACH, wires, credit cards, checks)
- Experience with accounting or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Quick Books, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality
