This position supports Accrual Management, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Reporting/Analysis for the Cardiovascular, Medical Surgical, and Neuroscience portfolios. It focuses on source data accuracy, insightful analysis, and continual improvement of the US Rebates team.
Responsibilities- Ensure source data accuracy across the portfolios through weekly accrual audits and alignment between rebate systems (Vistex, ECRS, CMS) and downstream reporting in GSR and other reporting universes.
- Support Portfolio Accrual leads in project work and training related to rebate systems and agreement intake best practices.
- Create and distribute recurring operational reports, including those related to credit, issue logs, membership management, annual true‑ups, etc.
- Research and respond to accrual and reporting inquiries utilizing all available reporting and analysis tools.
- Prepare actionable balance sheet reconciliations that clearly identify outstanding customer liabilities by contract and settlement period, including remediation of aged items and collaborating with auditors to explain rebate‑related financials.
- Represent the Rebates team on special projects with business partners including Contracting/Sales, Pricing, Finance, Credit, IT, Systems, etc.
- Support efforts to ensure Bulk Quarter End Deals (QEDs) are loaded timely with accurate accruals.
- Serve as backup for teammates on tasks related to accruals, membership, rebate system enhancements, rebate exception process, etc.
- Utilize analysis and reporting tools including Excel, Power Query, Power Automate, Business Objects, Access, Visual Basic, etc. to support projects and initiatives.
- Analyze and understand data and share summarized findings and related insights.
- Participate in special projects and provide support as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree plus 4+ years of work experience in finance, accounting, and/or pricing.
- Experience working with data and analysis tools such as Excel and Business Objects.
- Advanced degree (preferred).
- Strong logic and analysis skills.
- Ability to interpret contracting language.
- Extensive knowledge of SAP, BOXI, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and a willingness to continue learning.
- Demonstrated experience with revenue recognition requirements, accounting flows, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial audits.
- Working knowledge of Vistex/SAP rebate software.
- Experience with legal terms and conditions.
- Proven change management skills.
- Strong oral and written communication abilities with experience interacting with customers and internal business partners.
- Team player that is a self‑initiator, highly motivated, and works well with others.
- Reliable work ethic and ability to be flexible during peak times.
- For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).
