Wealth Strategies Specialist -

This job is responsible for supporting Merrill advisors in addressing their clients’ planning, personal philanthropy, and wealth transfer/tax minimization needs. Key responsibilities include building relationships with centers of influence and internal partners, analyzing estate and financial information, developing planning strategies, and leading the new business review and onboarding process for specified accounts. Job expectations include building relationships with advisors and developing subject‑matter expertise with financial and estate planning concepts and strategies.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the wealth planning engagement process for assigned client relationships, including fiduciary new business review, onboarding, and implementation of trustee and managed agency appointments.
  • Engage clients and Financial Advisors in estate, wealth transfer, philanthropic, and fiduciary planning discussions to identify and develop planning opportunities.
  • Develop integrated wealth planning strategies that align clients’ objectives with Bank of America’s trust, fiduciary, and wealth management capabilities.
  • Demonstrate expertise across trust and estate planning, wealth transfer tax planning, retirement planning, investments, business succession, charitable planning, and related wealth management disciplines.
  • Facilitate discussions regarding wills, trusts, powers of attorney, beneficiary designations, family legacy planning, and fiduciary structures.
  • Partner with clients’ attorneys, accountants, and other professional advisors to coordinate and support implementation of planning recommendations.
  • Serve as a primary resource for Trust Management Accounts (TMAs), trusteed IRAs, managed agency relationships, and other fiduciary solutions.
  • Evaluate and underwrite fiduciary opportunities, coordinating with trust, risk, legal, and operations partners to support successful account approval and onboarding.
  • Assist Financial Advisors in identifying and converting trust and fiduciary opportunities within existing and prospective client relationships.
  • Manage opportunity pipelines, follow‑up activities, client inquiries, and business development efforts while maintaining accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Collaborate with Wealth Strategists and other specialists to transition complex planning opportunities and ensure appropriate client coverage.
  • Maintain current knowledge of wealth planning, fiduciary, trust, and tax developments; manage risk through adherence to policies, procedures, and sound judgment in identifying and escalating potential concerns.
