This position is located at Central Office in St. Paul or Golden Valley and may have the flexibility to telework, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office as determined by policy and discussion with their supervisor.
Occasional out state travel/overnight stays.
This primary purpose of this position is to complete required certification training and, under supervision, perform entry-level professional transportation-specific program responsibilities related to the federal New Entrant Safety Assurance Program (NESAP) on new interstate motor carriers to assess compliance in accordance with the Federal New Entrant Safety Audit (NESA) guidelines. Perform entry-level professional transportation program functions to plan, coordinate and conduct on-site and off-site NESAs of motor carrier records and operations and, with supervision, provide necessary education to the motor carrier to enable the carrier to achieve and maintain compliance with federal regulations.
This position must enforce and assess compliance with federal and state and statutes, laws, rules, and regulations governing the operation of interstate motor carriers and other commercial motor vehicle operations based in the State of Minnesota.

Qualifications Minimum QualificationsOne year of professional experience in the areas noted below;

Two years of technical or advanced clerical experience in the areas noted below;
NOTE:
A bachelor's degree in business, education, communications, criminal justice, and psychology/sociology may substitute for 1 year of professional experience.
