Role:
Medication Assistant (MA) providing resident-centered nursing care in a long-term care setting.
Responsibilities:Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, grooming, dressing), monitor vital signs, administer delegated medications, and support psycho-social needs. Help with transfers, repositioning, and range of motion exercises. Ensure a positive dining experience by assisting with meals and hydration. Document care outcomes, communicate resident condition changes, and collect non-invasive specimens. Maintain cleanliness through housekeeping and laundry duties. Support wellness and recreational programs and participate in organizational committees as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:High school diploma or GED preferred; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred. Must complete annual competency testing and maintain required certifications, including state-specific CNA and medication aide certifications. Must be at least 18 years old. Strong communication, compassionate care approach, and ability to work collaboratively are essential.
Key Duties:Providing safe, age-appropriate care, administering medications within scope, documenting resident progress, and supporting overall well‑being in a team‑oriented environment.
