Join the Indian Health Services as a Billing Technician with the Red Lake Service Unit in Red Lake, MN. Key ResponsibilitiesReviews medical records, patient documentation, insurance information, and demographic data to prepare and process third-party billing claims. Submits, corrects, and follows up on third-party medical claims to ensure accurate and timely processing. Verify patient eligibility, insurance coverage, authorizations, and required documentation while maintaining accurate billing records and reports using automated systems.
Communicates with patients, providers, insurance carriers, and internal departments to resolve billing issues and payment discrepancies. Maintains billing documentation, prepares reports, and performs administrative support activities related to third-party billing, accounts receivable, and patient registration or eligibility services.
