Works independently on all Medicare, Medicaid and Tri Care Cost Reports and Minnesota Department of Health Hospital Annual Report (HAR) and Medical Education Research Costs (MERC) responsibilities.
Principle Responsibilities- Works independently on all Medicare, Medicaid and Tri Care Cost Reports and Minnesota Department of Health Hospital Annual Report (HAR) and Medical Education Research Costs (MERC) responsibilities.
- Lead annual Cost Report peer-review process.
- Prepare annual data requests.
- Coordinates and facilitates the Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) audits and desk reviews.
- Responds to MAC data requests.
- Acts as a liaison between the MAC and the system.
- Coordinates and facilitates Medicaid Cost Reports and Disproportionate Share audits as well as annual MERC applications.
- Organizes all provider appeals including correspondence, documentation, tracking, regulatory filings and administrative resolution of open issues.
- Leads annual cost report peer review process.
- Attends designated reimbursement, provider and department staff and leadership meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration or related field
- 3 to 7 years of applicable Medicare Reimbursement experience with a Medicare Administrative Contractor, Public Accounting Health Care Provider or consulting background
- 2 to 7 years of experience with Microsoft Office and other financial systems software
- Sedentary:
- Lifting weight up to 10 lbs. occasionally, negligible weight frequently
Pay Range: $40.08 to $54.93 per hour
The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
