Our Housekeeping teams plays a key role in driving operational and service excellence across the entire property. Our Housekeeping leaders champion the hiring, onboarding, performance, staffing, scheduling, training and development of their team while ensuring that Laundry and Housekeeping services consistently support exceptional guest experiences, financial performance, long-term business goals, and the overall success of the property.

POSITION SUMMARYThe Director of Housekeeping reports directly to the Hotel/General Manager, Director of Operations, or Director of Rooms and serves as a key member of the hotel leadership team. This highly visible leadership position provides a strong presence throughout the hotel and active engagement with guests and employees. The Director of Housekeeping provides strategic direction, oversight, and day-to-day supervision across Laundry and Housekeeping operations to ensure the consistent presentation, availability, and cleanliness of hotel rooms, linens, and public spaces.
- Lead housekeeping operations: Direct all aspects of Housekeeping operations, including system management, budgeting, forecasting, inventory control, and policy implementation
- Ensure high quality standards: Oversee and uphold cleanliness, service, and product quality standards in guest rooms, public spaces, restrooms, offices, and meeting areas
- Collaborate on improvement projects: Partner with department leaders to support promotional initiatives and capital improvement projects to enhance facilities
- Cultivate a high-performing team: Drive engagement and retention through performance management, professional development, employee appreciation and recognition programs that motivate the team and promote positive employee relations.
- Recruit & Onboard Talent: Lead hiring efforts, interviews, onboarding, and training of Housekeeping and Laundry staff. Identify high-potential talent and support succession planning to strengthen the department’s talent pipeline.
- Uphold regulatory compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety standards, particularly as related to proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be reliable, report to work on time, and be able to work all shifts on-site
- Must have open availability Monday-Sunday and be able to work at least one weekend day per week
- Must be able to work the necessary hours and a rotating schedule to support the needs of the department, including days, nights, weekends, holidays and key events.
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be currently eligible to work in the United States of America and able to present required original employment authorization documents, as required to complete the Form I-9 on the first day of employment.
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.
