Compensation: $125,000 - $140,000 / year

The Senior Service Now Developer is responsible for the design, development, configuration, and optimization of Service Now solutions across ITSM, CSM, and Service Operations Management (SOM). This role will lead custom application development, complex integrations, and AI-enabled automation initiatives within the Service Now platform. The ideal candidate brings deep platform expertise, strong architectural awareness, and the ability to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions aligned to business objectives.

This is a hybrid role (in-office Tuesday and Thursday). Local candidates preferred.

• Design, develop, and implement solutions within Service Now ITSM, CSM, and SOM modules
• Build and maintain custom applications using Service Now App Engine
• Develop complex integrations with internal and third-party systems using REST, SOAP, and Integration Hub
• Implement Tennon solutions and ensure optimal performance and configuration
• Leverage Service Now AI capabilities (Virtual Agent, Predictive Intelligence, Now Assist, etc.) to improve automation and user experience
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable JavaScript-based solutions
• Perform code reviews and enforce development best practices
• Troubleshoot platform issues and provide advanced technical support
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Support platform upgrades and ensure governance and security compliance

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5–8+ years of Service Now development experience
• Strong hands‑on experience with ITSM, CSM, and SOM modules
• Experience with custom applications, scoped apps, and App Engine
• Proven experience building integrations (REST/SOAP, APIs, middleware)
• Experience implementing Tennon solutions preferred
• Experience leveraging AI features within Service Now
• Service Now Certified System Administrator required
• Service Now Certified Application Developer preferred

• Advanced Development Expertise: Builds clean, maintainable JavaScript-based solutions, custom applications, and scoped apps using App Engine and best practices.
• Integration & Automation Strategy: Develops and optimizes complex integrations (REST, SOAP, APIs, Integration Hub) while leveraging AI capabilities to enhance automation and user experience.
• Technical Governance & Quality Control: Enforces coding standards, conducts code reviews, supports upgrades, and ensures security and compliance across the platform.
• Stakeholder Translation & Solution Delivery: Effectively translates business requirements into technical designs and collaborates cross-functionally to deliver enterprise solutions.

• Integrity: Ensures secure, compliant, and well-governed platform development while maintaining high standards of code quality and system reliability.
• Collaboration: Partners closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to design solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
