** Job Description
** U.S. Bank’s Automation Enablement Center (AEC) is growing, and we’re looking for an Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in
** Microsoft Power Automate Unattended (RPA)
** to design, build, and support scalable automation solutions that run in an on prem server environment. This role focuses on driving efficiency, reducing manual processes, and supporting operational excellence within a highly regulated environment.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work with minimal direction, quickly learn new tools and processes, and deliver reliable automation solutions that meet enterprise standards.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Design, develop, and deploy
** unattended Power Automate (RPA) workflows
** to automate business processes
* Collaborate with business and technology partners to identify automation opportunities and define requirements
* Build scalable, secure, and maintainable automation solutions aligned with enterprise standards
* Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize existing automations for performance and reliability
* Ensure solutions meet compliance, security, and audit requirements in a regulated environment
* Document processes, workflows, and technical solutions clearly for ongoing support and governance
* Participate in testing, deployment, and post-production support activities
* Cross train to help support Automation Anywhere automation solutions
* Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to automation practices and tools
* Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to enterprise standards prior to production
** Basic Qualifications
*** Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
* Seven (7+) plus years of relevant work experience with programming concepts, development logic or automating complex processes
* Minimum
** 2 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate Unattended (RPA)
**** Preferred Skills/Experience
*** Proven experience building and supporting
** unattended automation solutions
** using Power Automate
* Experience working in highly regulated industries such as financial services, banking, healthcare, or insurance
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and take initiative
* Experience with workflow design, process optimization, and automation best practices
* Familiarity with Microsoft ecosystem (Power Platform, Azure, Office 365)
* Understanding of governance, risk, and compliance considerations in automation
* Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
* Application of Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning to business problems
* Java, Python or other scripting languages
