Job Description
Minimum 1+ years interpreter experience required.
Sign Language Interpreter (21 Year old Female Student) in Blaine, MN Area Responsibilities- Provide accurate sign language interpretation for classroom instruction and school activities.
- Support students in understanding and participating in classroom discussions and assignments.
- Interpret for meetings, school events, and extracurricular activities.
- Work closely with teachers to adapt instructional materials for deaf or hard-of-hearing students.
- Assist in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Adhere to confidentiality and professional ethical standards.
- Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (RID, NIC, or state certification).
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
- Previous experience in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and staff.
- Understanding of deaf culture and the needs of deaf or hard-of-hearing students.
