We are hiring in the Equipment Engineering and Services department within the Recording Heads Operations at Seagate Technology, Inc. in Bloomington, MN. We are looking for skilled Engineering Technicians. In this position, you will work on maintenance related activities on equipment in our Wafer Fab Cleanroom and actively interact cross-functionally with Process, RD, and Manufacturing departments.

We are a team-oriented organization with a priority to enhance technician skills at all levels in the department.

• Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of Vacuum, Photo, Plate, and Test equipment in Wafer fabrication.
• Knowledge of electronic circuits, PLC’s, Robotics and able to read schematics
• Able to follow and complete PM instructions
• Maintains, repairs and troubleshoots equipment in a manner that meets company standards and ensures minimum equipment downtime. Includes Technicians that repair and maintain production and production test equipment
• Able to work safely on equipment that requires use of PPE, with chemicals or gases
• Establishes and maintains preventive maintenance programs and procedures
• Administers training programs to ensure:
  Proper equipment operation, preventive maintenance, repair programs and procedures
• Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions
• Determine methods and procedures on new assignments
• May provide guidance to other non‑exempt personnel. As a skilled specialist, completes tasks in creative and effective ways
• D shift
  - Fri, Sat, Sun, and every other Thursday from 6:30 pm-6:30 am, this will include a shift differential of 15% hourly.

The estimated base wage range for this position is $26.44 - $37.82/hr the individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
