About the Role:Amira Choice, a senior living community in Bloomington, MN, is seeking a reliable and dedicated individual to join our team as a full-time Maintenance Assistant. As a key member of the team, you will assist the Maintenance Director in the upkeep of facilities, performing routine repairs, work orders, and maintaining an overall safe environment for the residents, guests and team members.

- Assist with the maintenance and repair of our properties
- Perform routine inspections of our properties to identify any maintenance issues
- Complete work orders in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work
- Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in property maintenance or a related field
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Experience working in a multi‑unit residential setting
- Possess a general understanding of OSHA, fire prevention, life and safety regulations
- Ability to respond to emergency calls outside of scheduled work hours
- Demonstrates good judgement, problem solving and decision making skills
- As applicable, all team members who drive a DOT authorized vehicle must complete DOT testing and understand the key essential duties for safety and regulatory compliance
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will use your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with our maintenance team and residents. You will also use your technical skills to assist with the maintenance and repair of our properties. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be essential in ensuring that all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Additionally, your attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records will be critical in ensuring that our properties are well‑maintained and in excellent condition for our residents.
