Responsibilities- Work directly with the General Manager (GM) to guide the crew, keep operations running smoothly, and boost sales.
- Provide training for different jobs and opportunities to advance within the company.
- Lead daily team huddles and store meetings; set direction for achieving business goals.
- Develop teammates through internal training, ongoing coaching, and clear direction.
- Ensure quality control measures and processes are followed consistently.
- Carry out duties such as inventory management, cash handling, addressing guest issues, and collaborating with the District Manager on critical initiatives.
- Assist the GM with budgeting, sales forecasts, financial performance, and expense controls.
- Provide clear and detailed direction to the team; ensure the service center is clean, safe, and presentable per the Guide to Excellence (GTE).
- Mentor automotive technicians and Customer Service Associates (CSA's); perform opening and closing duties when the GM is off.
- Build and maintain an engaged workforce aligned with customer volume and business needs.
- Lead and participate in ongoing training to develop skills and knowledge across roles.
- Assist with guest questions and needs in person, electronically, or by telephone.
- Adhere to safety and regulatory requirements and maintain a respectful, productive work environment.
- One to three years of retail management experience. Professional automotive experience is not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; proven leadership ability to motivate diverse teams.
- Solid business sense with understanding of the retail industry; ability to analyze and support sales and service objectives.
- Positive, helpful attitude with professional conduct and appearance; thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance retail environment.
- Customer-first mindset and ability to interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedures.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in environments with variable temperatures, noise, and exhaust fumes.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds and perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
