* JOB SUMMARY:

** The buyer is responsible for purchasing goods and services for use within Polar Semiconductor. This position requires comparative research and the ability to negotiate pricing with suppliers, evaluate inventory and stick within a budget. The buyer must understand the unique needs of Polar Semiconductor. Role requires in-person training with hybrid schedule after training period.

* DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

** Ensure company’s purchasing requirements are met by possessing knowledge of the Polar Semiconductor purchasing policy and its intent.  Source quality items at competitive prices, locating dependable manufacturers.  Ensure deliveries by managing purchase orders through full purchase cycle.  Key point of contact for internal and external customers. Responsible to maintain contact with internal teams regarding purchase order status and changes. Maintain purchase orders through department tracking system, pursuing any delinquent purchase orders.
Support company initiatives, such as quality, safety and environmental management, CQI, 5S, yield management, and cost containment. Perform other duties, as required.
** SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
*** Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
* Excellent interpersonal, communication skills
* Demonstrated abilities in negotiating and purchasing procedures
* Strong analytical and organizational skills, with high attention to detail
* Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, and technical applications to semiconductor manufacturing, preferred
* Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and perform under pressure
* Experience in Microsoft Office
* Experience with ERP software systems is a plus, but not required
** What We Offer
**** Salary**:
The estimated base salary range for the position is $77,500-$90,000. The pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, job-related experience, skills and level of the position.

Includes health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off, annual bonus, and tuition reimbursement.
